Suleman Chitera By Malawi Freedom Network
Civil Servants Trade Union (CSTU) and Teachers Union of Malawi (TUM) are threatening to stage a national wide strike from January 9, 2023, aimed at forcing government to address prevailing issues the two pressure groups have been presenting before authorities.
In a letter Malawi Freedom Network has seen addressed to Government’s Negotiating Team, dated 21 December 2021, the two institutions say government has failed to address the issues being fuelled by the rising cost of living.
