Hansi Flick gives us freedom’ – Lamine Yamal talks playing for the new Barcelona coach

Lamine Yamal has beeen chatting about life under Hansi Flick at Barcelona and the freedom the team are enjoying under the German coach.

Flick has overseen a strong start to the season, with Barca currently top of the table, and Yamal says it’s hard work playing for the new coach but also enjoyable.

”We are having a lot of fun and it shows. Flick gives us freedom and it makes us very happy to keep adding three points at a time,” he told RNE.

“It is true that physically you have to push harder but, when you recover quickly, your legs recover better. But it is true that the team is more physical than last year.”

Yamal also showered praise on team-mate Robert Lewandowski who is the top scorer so far in La Liga with 10 goals from nine matches.

“Everything you give him, he scores. We are very happy for him. Hopefully he will become top scorer,” he added.
