Yesterday, former UDF Eastern Region Governor Hon Chigomire, along with 157 members from MCP, UDF, and PP, joined the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in Machinga. DPP Vice President Hon Bright Msaka and Regional Governor Hon Daud Chikwanje welcomed them.

Hon Msaka expressed confidence in DPP’s chances in the next election under Prof Arthur Peter Mutharika, while Hon Chikwanje criticized the MCP government for worsening conditions.

The event raised hopes for a DPP comeback in 2025.
