Kasungu, Malawi — A severe windstorm that struck Kasungu today has caused extensive damage to homes in various areas, including Kasankha and Juma. The storm, which swept through the town, left a trail of destruction, uprooting roofs and causing structural damage.
Although the full extent of the destruction is yet to be determined, preliminary reports indicate that a significant number of homes have been impacted. Household items, including essential food supplies such as maize and flour, were also destroyed in the storm.
Authorities are assessing the situation to gather more detailed information on the number of homes affected and the specific needs of residents. Local officials have urged the community to exercise caution and offer support to neighbors affected by this unexpected natural disaster.
