Silver Strikers Football Club has marked a historic achievement, parading through the townships of Lilongwe in a celebration of their triumphant 2024 season. The parade, which was a jubilant procession of fans and players, commemorated the club’s remarkable victory in both the senior and youth leagues.
The senior team clinched the coveted 2024 TNM Super League title, ending an 11-year drought of league triumphs. Their hard-fought victory saw them finally secure the title after years of near misses, establishing themselves as one of Malawi’s premier football clubs.
In an equally impressive feat, the Silver Strikers Under-20 team emerged as the 2024 champions of the Lilongwe FCB Under-19 League, a significant milestone for the club’s youth development program.
The parade, which passed through several townships in Lilongwe, was an emotional celebration of both the senior team’s league success and the youth team’s outstanding performance. Fans filled the streets, singing and chanting as the players waved from open-top vehicles, acknowledging the unwavering support they have received throughout the season.
