Armed gang attacks Nalipiri eco-resort, robs foreign tourists

Last evening, a gang of fifteen armed robbers stormed Nalipiri Eco-Resort in Mulanje, targeting three foreign tourists.

The criminals made away with an undisclosed amount of money in both dollars and pounds, along with ATM cards, travel documents, and other personal belongings from the tourists.

Mulanje Police Spokesman Sergeant Innocent Moses confirmed the incident to Zodiak Online a short while ago.

He further disclosed that the robbers did not stop at robbing the tourists but also proceeded to the resort’s bar, where they looted an undisclosed sum of money from the sales made the previous day.

Sergeant Moses revealed that law enforcement officers managed to recover some of the stolen travel documents, which were found approximately 15 meters away from the lodge.

Meanwhile, police have launched an investigation into the incident to track down those responsible for the attack.

Sergeant Moses assured the public that law enforcement agencies are actively hunting the suspected robbers to bring them to justice.
