FDH Financial Holdings Limited has officially unveiled the Thomson Frank Mpinganjira (TFM) Centre of Excellence in Mpemba, Blantyre—a state-of-the-art training facility aimed at equipping both local and international leaders with modern leadership and management skills.
The ultra-modern centre, named in honour of the company’s founder, stands as a beacon of innovation and capacity building, strategically positioned to serve as a regional hub for professional development.
During a media tour of the facility, FDH Group Head of Marketing and Communication, Levie Nkunika, described the initiative as a long-term investment into Malawi’s human capital. He emphasized that the centre would significantly reduce the country’s reliance on external training programs, thereby conserving much-needed foreign exchange.
“This facility is a milestone not just for FDH, but for the entire nation. It will help us retain talent, attract global partners, and build a generation of visionary leaders right here on home soil,” said Nkunika.
The TFM Centre of Excellence boasts modern amenities, including cutting-edge audiovisual technology, high-speed internet connectivity, and fully accessible infrastructure to support persons with disabilities. With lecture halls, breakout rooms, executive meeting spaces, and serene natural surroundings, the centre provides an ideal environment for learning and innovation.
In addition to leadership training, the centre is expected to host a variety of executive courses, workshops, and strategic retreats tailored for both corporate and public sector leaders across Africa.
