Political activist Bon Kalindo has advised the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) to tighten security of Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and other senior members of the party during this campaign period ahead of the 16th September, 2025 elections.
Kalindo has also advised other opposition leaders to do the same claiming that the MCP after failing to ambush DPP Vice President for the Centre Hon. Alfred Gangata on the postponed anti-violence demonstrations in Lilongwe, the target is now with all opposition party leaders.
He has told the DPP that the MCP has strategized itself to paint 10 pick-ups to look like DPP vehicles and during the rallies, they should be hacking and terrorizing people on the claims that DPP members are hacking each other.
Speaking through an audio clip, Kalindo said it is sad that MCP officials who are educated on the land are reaching at the stage of terrorizing the country by conniving with some police officers, saying this development is speaking to itself that Malawians have no security in their country.
Kalindo has questioned the MCP and Malawi Police Service (MPS) that is the democracy Malawians fought for in 1994 so that others be making plans of killing their political opponents in a quest to remain in government?
He said Malawians are all aware of the MCP plans that they are training some of its youth so that in September, 2025 they are deployed to man polling centres for them to instill fear in the mind of the registered voters.
The activist has assured the MCP that whatever terror it will use to scare registered voters, Malawians will not be afraid, they are all prepared to vote out President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and the MCP for working tirelessly to bring one-party state and dictatorship in the country.
He has advised DPP security teams to be on the lookout of their enemies from within as not all who wear DPP t-shirts are DPP assuring them that the MCP will use whatever means to remain in government and one being terrorism.
“Time is fast approaching to the MCP, all the planned attacks to DPP members are not working, God is on the side of opposition parties, MCP had enough time to correct where they were getting it wrong, but unfortunately, time is not on their side,” said Kalindo.
He has also appealed to the Inspector General of Police madam Maryln Yolamu to see with a critical eye incidences of killings of human beings like chickens in Area 25 observing that this has brought in fear amongst the residents that are staying a stone throw away to Kanengo Police Station.
Kalindo has lamented that these killings are happening in towns what is the situation in the villages observing that if people are killing each other like chickens in a country, this then means that that country has no police and Army.
He has asked the police to make a research of the incidences of killings of people in Area 25 which is coming two months away to the 16th September, 2025 elections saying if it is not killing each other, it is death by hangings on the roof of their houses.
