Limpopo FM online radio station, says it is deeply disappointed with Atupele Muluzi’s bid joining the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) alliance led by President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera with subject to re-election on the 16th September, 2025 elections.
Speaking at Nsundwe Trading Centre in Lilongwe, UDF Vice President Dr. Rex Kalolo appealed to all UDF members and supporters not to withdraw their vote from Dr. Lazarus Chakwera to Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika on the 16th September, 2025 elections.

Dr. Kalolo assured people that MCP leadership is going nowhere saying the UDF will do all of what it can to defend President Chakwera being their uncle, the remarks which have not only disappointed UDF supporters but Malawians.
Nkhanga zaona programme producer Comrade Ntanyiwa said it would have been better for UTM and UDF to form an electoral alliance but all are vying for presidency and it is not surprising that both Atupele Muluzi and Dr. Dalitso Kabambe are MCP agents.
Comrade Ntanyiwa said him personally is disappointed that Atupele Muluzi has joined the MCP a party which allegedly killed his step mother- Patricia Shanil Dzimbiri and today, he has forgotten all that under the influence of blood money from the MCP.
He has warned Malawians that voting for Dr. Dalitso Kabambe, Dr. Kondwani Nankhumwa and Atupele Muluzi is voting for President Chakwera to bounce back into government because these three have been proved that they are MCP agents.
“Patricia Shanil Dzimbiri died a painful death, she was brutally hacked by pangas on her body, today, UDF has joined the murderers, good for only Atupele Muluzi.” Said Comrade Ntanyiwa.
In a letter to UDF President Atupele Muluzi dated 7th September, 2025 concerned UDF supporters have strongly warned Atupele to reject the move to the MCP alliance saying such a decision is against the will of party lovers.
UDF supporters have claimed that Malawians have suffered greatly under the 5 years of President Chakwera’s leadership marked by economic hardships, instability, and broken promises saying they cannot accept any alliance that seeks to extend the same failed governance.
In the letter, UDF supporters have demanded Atupele Muluzi to respect the will of the grassroots who are yearning for a fresh and peaceful direction for Malawi saying they want the next 5 years be years of peace, growth, and stability.
The loyal UDF supporters have warned Atupele Muluzi to reject an alliance with the MCP and failure to take heed of their call, they will be seen as betrayal to the trust of UDF members and lovers of democracy.
