Beatrice Nasiyaya, 65, of Kachingwe Village in Zomba says the eldery need to take election seriously.
Speaking at Chirunga Primary School under Zomba Likangala Constituency, Nasiyaya said despite the old age, the elderly have a great part to decide for the country.
“Just because you are old doesn’t mean you will die tomorrow. We need to partipate in the election,” she said.

She further said by not voting, few will put wrong leaders in power.
Nasiyaya, who despite suffering from a heart condition made the effort to cast her vote, has appealed to Malawians to accept the election results even if they are not in their favour.
“I am ready to accept any outcome of the elections and all Malawians need to accept the results ,” she said.
Over 2,000 voters are expected to cast their vote at Chirunga Primary School polling center.
