By Comrade Jumbe
Dr. Lazarus Chakwera,
The wisdom of the village teaches us that “when the cock crows in the morning, it cannot deny the coming of the sun.”
The truth, no matter how much it is resisted, will always rise above shadows.
The people of Malawi have spoken in this election.
Their voice is louder than whispers of counsel from those who surround you with false comfort.
Your early acceptance and conceding of defeat will not weaken you—it will crown you with honour.
History remembers not those who clung to power at all cost, but those who placed the nation above self.
“A chief who fights against the will of his people only builds his own grave.” By accepting the outcome, your name will be written in the golden books of patriots, remembered as a man who put country before crown, peace before pride.
Do not let men like Vitumbiko Mumba and others mislead you into a path of stubbornness.
These are people who will vanish when the storm comes, leaving your name alone to face the judgement of history.
“When a tree falls, the birds that rested on its branches scatter to the winds.”
They will not share the shame with you; instead, they will tarnish your legacy and paint your image as the worst president our nation has ever had.
Let no one deceive you that victory belongs to you in this election.
The writings are clear on the wall; the people have chosen his excellency Arthur Mutharika.
DPP has not rigged, and your name in the ballot is nowhere near triumph.
“The eye cannot deny the moonlight even when clouds pass over it.” The truth is clear—accept it with dignity.
Congratulate His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika for the sake of the country you once led for five year be a least gratitude creature.
Show the world and the nation that you are indeed a man of God as you so claim for a true shepherd does not scatter his flock because of personal loss.
Instead, he ensures peace among the sheep, even if he must walk away.
Remember, if any drop of blood spilled in the name of violence over this election will rest upon your conscience.
The world is watching, and history will reduce you to nothing if Malawi bleeds because of your refusal to an early concede.
“When the drum of war is beaten, even the innocent dance in sorrow.” Do not let this be your legacy.
I, Comrade Jumbe, appeal to you: be courageous enough to do the honourable thing. Concede defeat, congratulate your successor, and walk into history as a true patriot.
This act alone will prove to us that you are not a man chained by power, but a man of principle and faith.
“The elder who knows when to leave the dancing arena leaves with respect; the one who refuses to step aside is carried away with disgrace.”
Dr. Chakwera, the choice is in your hands—choose history’s honour, not its humiliation.
My pen 🖊 is mightier than a sword.
