A Salute to the intergrity of malawi electoral commission (Mec)

There comes situation in life due to abundance of jubilation you dont know whether you should cry or smile this is a situation where patriotic Malawians found themselves in today.
Our elders often say: “When the baobab tree grows, it provides shade not only to those who planted it, but to generations yet unborn.”
Today, we have witnessed such a moment in our beloved Malawi.
On 16 September, the people have spoken with one voice, and history has once again written the name of His Excellency, Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, in the golden pages of leadership.
I once again extend my deepest and most sincere congratulations to you, your excellency for this resounding victory.
May the Almighty continue granting you wisdom, strength, and long life as you take once again the noble path of guiding our nation.
But no tree stands tall without deep roots, and no victory is complete without acknowledging those who watered the soil of democracy.
I wish to commend the Malawi Electoral Commission (MEC) for a job well done. Like the village drummer who beats the drum fairly so that the whole community can dance in harmony, MEC has conducted this election with fairness, credibility, and transparency.
Most notably, Justice Annabel Mtalimanja has risen like a lioness defending her cubs. In the midst of doubt and criticism, she has proved her strength, courage, and patriotism.
I must personally bow my head in humility, for I was one among those who doubted her ability, even calling for her resignation before the polls. But as the wise say: “A child who mocks the builder must wait until the house is finished before judging its strength.”
Today, Justice Mtalimanja has built a house of democracy so strong that even the winds of doubt could not shake it. For this, we owe her not only apologies but deep respect. History will remember her as a great woman whose integrity and bravery illuminated our path at a critical hour.
The Victory of his excellency professor Arthur peter wa Mutharika is the testimony that the Malawian people still believe in his leadership and they believe in Democratic Progressive Party.
Justice Mtalimanja and Mec you have reminded us that true patriots are not swayed by noise, but are anchored by principle.
As we move forward, let us remember this proverb: “If you want to go fast, go alone. If you want to go far, go together.” This is not the time for division, but for unity, progress, and service to the land we all love.
Congratulations once again, Your Excellency. Congratulations MEC. Congratulations Malawi.
