In what many describe as a new dawn of leadership in Malawi, Alha Imran Jumbe has congratulated Honourable Alfred Gangata on his appointment as Minister of State, calling it a historic step toward youthful and visionary governance.
Jumbe said the appointment represents more than a political reshuffle — it is a renewed call for purpose-driven leadership. “In the long journey of our nation’s destiny, moments arise when the drum of progress beats louder than ever before — and today, it beats for a new chapter of leadership,” he said.
A Symbol of Youthful Wisdom and Integrity
According to Jumbe, Hon. Alfred Gangata embodies the spirit of modern leadership: firm, disciplined, visionary, and deeply rooted in the soil of purpose.
“A young tree that stands firm in the storm proves that the forest still has strength,” Jumbe said, describing Gangata as a man of integrity, humility, and courage who walks the path of duty with quiet determination.
He further added that Gangata’s leadership is a sign of renewed faith among Malawians who believe in the strength of capable youth to shape the country’s future.
A Ministry with Purpose and Direction
Jumbe noted that the new Ministry of State, under Hon. Gangata’s leadership, is not just another office in government — it is a promise of direction, focus, and fresh energy.
He emphasized that Malawi needs leaders who think beyond politics, ready to plough new ideas into the fertile ground of national development.
“You cannot sharpen a blade without friction, nor can a nation grow without the strength of its youth,” he said.
Applauding DPP and President Mutharika for Trusting Young Leaders
Jumbe also commended His Excellency Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika and the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) for demonstrating confidence in young leaders like Gangata.
He described the move as proof of DPP’s belief in generational renewal, ensuring that youth are not only given seats at the table but also the responsibility to shape the nation’s destiny.
“If the elders plant trees, and the youth water them, the forest will never die,” he said.
An Inspiration to Malawian Youth
Jumbe described Gangata’s appointment as a symbol of hope to every young Malawian who dreams of serving the nation with honesty, patience, and integrity.
He urged the Minister to continue walking in humility and purpose, inspiring the next generation of Malawian leaders.
“As you take on this noble responsibility, I pray that the Almighty God grants you wisdom, strength, and courage,” Jumbe said. “May your leadership shine as a lamp that guides this nation toward prosperity, peace, and progress.”
A Message of Hope for Malawi
Jumbe concluded by reaffirming his confidence in Gangata’s ability to deliver on his mandate, adding that the people of Malawi believe in him, the youth look up to him, and the nation walks beside him.
“When a good man takes the hoe, even the land smiles,” he said. “May your service bring a fruitful harvest for all Malawians. May God bless our nation.”
