Anti Chakwera Demonstrations On In Mangochi

Anti-government protests organised by a grouping, Human Rights Ambassadors have commenced in Mangochi district.

The demonstrators have just left Mpondasi market heading to the district councils office, under heavy security presence.

One of the organisers, Kingsley Mpaso says, the mass protests are aimed to demand for president Lazarus Chakwera’s resignation or call for a national referendum amid the rising cost of living and failure to fulfill campaign promises.
