Chakwera Attends High-level Meeting On Health Security In Africa

As African leaders converge in Washington DC, United States of America for the US -Africa Leaders 2022 Summit, President Dr Lazarus Chakwera is on Tuesday expected to attend a high-level dialogue on improving health security in Africa through strategic partnerships.

The high-level meeting will be held under the theme: “Leveraging the private sector to reach health security goals in Africa.”

President Chakwera will be joined by the Heads of State and Government of Senegal, Ghana, Rwanda, and Uganda.

The President and Chief Commercial Officer for Pfizer, Angela Hwang, will also be in attendance.

Later in the day, President Chakwera is also expected to meet in audience with Yannick Glemarec, Chief Executive Director of the Green Climate Fund.

Another highlight of the day’s activities is the hosting of congressional dinner reception at the United States Capitol by Nancy Pelosi, Speaker of the United States Congress in honour of the Heads of State and Government at the U.S. – Africa Summit.
