SA has sent a delegation to Zambia to take notes on how they are managing their economy and to be inspired by how the Kwacha is Manifesting. Zambia’s Kwacha is among the best performing currencies in Africa beating the SA rand by two thirds. From what I have picked up, Good governance is key. Some results include: Investor confidence. They have created a conducive environment for Investors. Investors feel safe with their money and investments. This is translating in a lot of forex resulting in a stable Kwacha.The Government has focused on empowering local producers. Local products and cutting down on imports. They are now exporting to Neighboring countries like Malawi. Most producers are indigenous Zambians who keep Money in Zambia not UK or Dubai .Government Marketing policies. ...

South African Dancer Zodwa Wabantu Stopped Not Perform In Malawi

The Ministry of Tourism, Culture and Wildlife has stopped a show scheduled for Dominic's in Blantyre on June 11 2022 featuring controversial South African dancer Zodwa Wabantu. Minister of Tourism , Culture and Wildlife Michael Usi says the ministry penned the organisers not to go ahead with the event as it was deemed not fit for the country. One of the organisers of the event Biggie Lu says they are in the process of negotiating with the ministry to make them understand that their client would not perform in her controversial dressing style. Zodwa Wabantu makes waves for the fact that she performs without wearing underwear. She was banned from performing in Zimbabwe due to the nature of her performances. She was deported in Zambia over similar issues.

South Africa's former spy chief has accused President Cyril Ramaphosa of kidnapping and bribery in a case he has registered with the police. Arthur Fraser said the case related to the alleged attempted theft of $4m (£3.2m) in 2020 at one of the president's properties and the alleged efforts to conceal what happened. Mr Ramaphosa said "there is no basis for the claims of criminal conduct". Mr Fraser is seen by some as an ally of former President Jacob Zuma. Some believe the allegations could be linked to wrangles within the ruling African National Congress (ANC) ahead of a leadership race in December.
