
Tonse Alliance partners Calls for MCP, UTM Dialogue
Some Tonse Alliance partners are calling for a dialogue meeting to resolve their differences on the agreements made in the year 2020.
Two key partners the Malawi Congress Party-MCP and UTM have come out in the open to fight over the power sharing deal.
The 9-member alliance led by President Lazarus Chakwera, managed to oust the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) in the 2020 fresh elections.
After keeping the alliance document under wraps for 2 years, Vice President Saulos Chilima who is also the UTM leader, revealed its contents on Friday.
Among other issues, Chilima revealed that Chakwera is supposed to be a one term president and that the VP is to run as the presidential candidate in 2025.
