Malawians living in the United States of America have been urged to ignore rumours that there is disunity in the Tonse Alliance Government.
Dr Chilima was speaking in New York, United States of America when he held a meeting with members of the Malawi diaspora from New York, New Jersey & Connecticut.
The Vice President stated that the Tonse Alliance is still strong and called on the people to continue rallying behind the alliance.
The meeting between the Vice President and Malawians in the diaspora opened with questions that the Malawians living in the USA have been eager to ask for some time.
One of the Malawians wanted clarity on reports that there is trouble among parties in the Tonse Alliance and that it is falling apart.
Dr Chilima in his response said this is not true and that the Tonse Alliance is still strong and will continue to work towards the betterment of the nation.
