Faith Leaders commends Tonse Govt for inclusivity in running State affairs

Faith leaders in the country have commended the Tonse Alliance-led administration for allowing freedom of worship to thrive in the country.

The faith leaders have also commended President Dr Lazarus Chakwera for allowing the office of the presidential advisor on religious affairs to act as a better linkage between the faith community and the presidency.

Blantyre synod (CCAP) general secretary Reverend Billy Gama made the remarks Sunday at Magwero CCAP in Lilongwe during the commissioning ceremony of Reverend Brian Kamwendo as resident minister of the church.

In his remarks, Reverend Gama thanked Dr Chakwera for allowing Reverend Kamwendo, who is the presidential advisor on religious affairs to minister at the church.

Concurring with Reverend Gama, CCAP Nkhoma Synod moderator Reverend Phillip Kambulire commended the gesture shown by Dr Chakwera, adding that allowing Reverend Kamwendo to serve at Magwero CCAP will help to bring the presidency closer to the faith community.

Reverend Brian Kamwendo is expected to serve as a resident minister of Magwero CCAP for the next 3 years.

Reverend Kamwendo who is also Presidential Advisor on religious affairs has since comended fellow clergy men and Government for the freedom of worship which the country is enjoying.
