Minister of information and digitalization has dismissed claims that President Lazarus Chakwera has been interfering in the operations of law enforcement agencies.
Earlier in the day, Youth and Society, a rights lobby group claimed that high profile corruption cases involving some senior government and MCP members are failing to take shape due to their connection to the presidency.
However, commenting on the matter, Moses Kunkuyu, minister of information and digitalization has brushed off the claims saying law enforcement agencies like the ACB and others are operating independently from any political interference.
He says government has trust in the manner in which ACB is operating.
