Speaking during the ceremony, MUBAS Vice- Chancellor, Associate Professor Nancy Chitera said MUBAS is building a culture of sports in all angles with an aim of improving extra-curricular activities for students and staff as well.
“The university will construct a modern sports complex as one way of improving the wellness and health of students and staff at the institution,” said Chitera.
One student who won a silver medal in pool games and a gold medal in football, Wisdom Dindo hailed the university for its unwavering support for the sports saying these are activities that help them to cope with school-related stress.
“As a school, it is important to have these activities because as students we get relieved from academic stresses and it helps us in building mental stamina,” said Dindo.
Students from the School of Business and Economic Sciences (SOBES) were crowned overall winners for this year’s trophy.
