Chakwera to continue developing Malawi

President Dr Lazarus Chakwera has said he will continue to develop the country to ensure that a better Malawi is created regardless of political or tribal affiliations.

He was speaking on Sunday during a development rally at area 24 Community Ground in the area of Traditional Authority (T/A) Tsabango in Lilongwe, where he emphasized that for development to continue, people should cooperate.

The President said his government will continue to spearhead development projects across the country like roads, schools, railways and the building of security staff houses among others.

He added that in the meantime, government is distributing food to make sure that people are not dying of hunger since he knows that many people are not food secure due to cyclones Freddy and Elnino which hit the country.

“We are going to ensure that people have equally received food in all parts of the country as hunger has affected many districts and people are suffering,” he explained.

He further appreciated the support which the public has shown to him that he should be the torch bearer for the ruling party in the forthcoming 2025 elections.

Member of Parliament for Lilongwe City Southwest Nancy Tembo expressed gratitude to the President for the developments which are taking place in the country as well as her constituency.

“Every part of the country is being developed, this shows a milestone which you have taken to build a new face for the country,” said Tembo.

In his remarks, Senior Chief Tsabango hailed the government for implementing mega farms programmes saying this will boost food security in the country.

The chief applauded, President Chakwera for his continued dedication to achieving Malawi 2063.
