Lilongwe’s Senior District Governor for the Urban Area, Honourable Mussa Saidi, delivered a bold political statement at a rally held at Mazengera School.

He was speaking on behalf of the fellow District Governor for Lilongwe Nkhoma, Honourable Gama.

The rally drew a massive crowd, showcasing the growing political energy ahead of the 2025 elections.

In his speech, Honourable Saidi declared with confidence that the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) was poised for victory.

He specifically pointed to Honourable David Kambalame as the party’s candidate who would clinch the parliamentary seat for Mpenu Mazengera Constituency.

According to Saidi, this win would take place during the upcoming general elections set for September 16, 2025.

He did not mince words as he issued a direct warning to the current Member of Parliament under the Malawi Congress Party (MCP), Honourable Eisenhower Mkaka.

Saidi urged Mkaka to prepare himself for defeat, signalling what he believes is a political shift in the constituency.

With the slogan “Return to the Proven Leadership,” the DPP aims to re-establish its influence in Lilongwe’s political landscape.

The rally was not just a show of support for Kambalame, but a call for a new chapter under experienced and trusted leadership.
