Today is Good Friday. On this day Christians around the world commemorate the suffering and subsequent death of Jesus Christ to redeem mankind according to the four Gospels in the Bible.
In Malawi, some Christians including Catholics and Anglicans are holding the Way of the Cross, a traditional devotion in honour of the life, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ.
Meanwhile, Christians from Saint Peter and Paul (Chilobwe) and Saint Pius (Soche) Parishes of the Catholic Church are conducting the Way of the Cross.
The procession has started from Chilobwe Township and will end at St. Pius Parish Grotto.
