Newly promoted TNM Super League side, Extreme FC defeated Mighty Mukuru Wanderers 1-0 to earn their first win in the TNM Super League on Saturday at Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
The Mchinji based, Extreme FC broke the deadlock on the 38th minute of the first half as Greygory Mwase headed home a well taken set piece from John Chalamanda.

Speaking after the match, caretaker Coach for Extreme FC, Elvis Kafoteka hailed his charges for the win and urged them build over the sweet victory.
“I told the players to believe in themselves, I changed our system because we knew they normally overload the midfield hence we used the counter attack to contain them and create good balance,” Kafoteka said.

Meanwhile Second Assistant Coach for Wanderers, Alfred Manyozo Jnr admitted that the team had a dismal performance regardless of the non-regular players who started the game as they are equally capable of performing well.
“Before the red card we were poor; in the second half we played better. However, there is no excuse; it was just a bad day.
