The Alliance for Democracy (AFORD) has today taken its 30th Anniversary celebrations at Bvumbwe Research Ground in Thyolo district.
The party’s president, Enock Chihana is presiding over a political rally to mark the commemoration of the event.
Deputy national director of youth in the party, Edward Kambanje said the party is here to surprise doubting Malawians by governing the country in 2025.
AFORD president Enock Chihana has urged the Tonse government to avoid purchasing fertiliser through middlemen.
Chihana says the government needs to plan in advance, the procurement of fertiliser under the Affordable Inputs Programme (AIP).
Chihana once ushered to power, he will reform the program to target orphans, elderly, and others with disabilities who will get the commodity the ministry of gender and social welfare and community development.
He is speaking at Bvumbwe research ground in Thyolo where he has pledged civil servants will be on the AIP beneficiary list.
