The agreement was officially sealed on Friday in Zomba through the signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two parties, marking a major development for football in the Eastern Region.

Speaking after the signing ceremony, council officials expressed excitement over the partnership, describing it as a significant opportunity to promote football development and increase sports entertainment in Zomba and surrounding districts.

Counsel David Kanyenda hailed the positive engagement and cooperation shown by the council throughout the discussions, saying the partnership represents another important milestone in the club’s expansion strategy.
