Bakili Muluzi TV online television, says President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika, has a huge task of building the country’s ailing economy which was destroyed by the MCP led government of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera beyond repair.
Bakili Muluzi TV said Professor Mutharika is on record having left one billion US Dollars as forex reserve at the time he was living government in June, 2020 but all this forex was blown off by Dr. Lazarus Chakwera and his MCP government.
He said Dr. Lazarus Chakwera made 72 foreign trips blowing off K328 billion claiming that the HRDC and Public Affairs Committee (PAC) were quiet, clapping hands for this.
The Activist said in one year of DPP in government, the country is facing serious challenges in forex, fuel, fertilizer, medicines, the HRDC has risen from the dead accusing the DPP of taking Malawians for granted while in 5 years of Dr. Lazarus Chakwera, it closed its lips.
Bakili Muluzi TV has thanked Professor Mutharika for postponing the mid – year Budget review session to February, 2028 saying this alone, will save over K1.8 billion to go to equally important projects.
He said it is very sad that the MCP wants to behave as angels today blaming the DPP for the challenges the country is in asking the MCP to disclose to the nation how much forex they left at the time they left government in September, 2025.
The Activist has reminded Malawians that Parliament during the MCP government was being convened amid disasters such as Covid 19 pandemic, hunger, and Tropical Cyclones, MCP did not care about the crises but stealing money on to their pockets.
“In 2020, K6.2 billion Covid -19 funds disappeared, in 2022 K200 million for Cyclone Gombe grew legs into the butchery for fertilizer, in 2024 36 million Litres of fuel from the DRC, disappeared,” said Bakili Muluzi TV.
He said President Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is busy building the country’s ailing economy destroyed by the MCP reminding Malawians that Mutharika himself made it open that it will take 2 years for the country to walk out from the man – made challenges the MCP left in September,2025.
