Dedza Dynamos To Be Called Salima Sugar FC

Dedza Dynamos will now be called Dedza Salima Sugar Football Club following a 48 – million kwacha worth 9 month deal with the company.

Salima Sugar Company Secretary Dr. Charles Thupi revealed this at their Lilongwe premises on Friday and says this is part of promoting Malawi football.

Furthermore, the club shall have jerseys that will bear the company’s logo on the chest.

Dedza Dynamos Secretary General, Mavuto Mugode, says they are grateful and promises improved performance in the Super League.

Mugode adds the sponsorship will be invested in youthful players and signing some top-notch players in Malawi and abroad.

At the moment, the team is 7th on the Super League log table with 19 points.

Just recently, Salima Sugar Company announced they will be sponsoring Dedza Dynamos at the funeral of the team’s former chief supporter Akim Magesh.

Previously, Salima Sugar used to sponsor Mighty Wanderers before their contract expires
