A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) diehard of Mvera in Dowa district Mr. Rodgers Kamphangala, says age limit bill which is being championed by the MCP to block former President and DPP leader Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika from contesting on 16th September, 2025 has no impact on the pain and sufferings Malawians are going through in the country.
Kamphangala said it is sad that the MCP has forgotten the sufferings of people and prioritizing on age limit bill against Professor Mutharika so that he should not contest a development which is putting democracy under threat in Malawi.
He has advised the MCP to accept defeat honorably that it has failed to govern Malawians in the interest of all and losing elections will not be the end of their lives, it will be the beginning of the new chapter to go back to the drawing board to build the party on the lost trust.
The MCP diehard said he is not understanding reading from the cables that the MCP has assembled party operatives splashing millions of Kwachas taxpayer’s money just to bring back the age limit bill targeting Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.
The MCP diehard has described Agape Khombe, Redson Munlo and Frederick Billy Malata as men who are not wishing the country well and Malawians will declare them to be their enemies for life for putting their interest first on MCP money to destroy Malawians hope for September, 2025 elections.
He has asked Khombe, Munlo and Malata to explain to Malawians what is it that Malawians should vote for President Chakwera to bounce back into office on 16th September, 2025 for a renewed hope after destroying the country for five years.
Kamphangala said it is sad also to read from the cables that Chitipa South legislator Welani Chilenga is all set to present the bill to Parliament urging the people of Chitipa to vote out Chilenga without mercy on 16th September, 2025 for being part of the people destroying the good image of Chitipa people.
“Fertilizer is at K145,000 per bag, maize K85,000 per bag, K5000 not enough to buy bread and sugar, fuel shortages, endless hunger, Malawians must pray hard for God to punish all those that are planning evil against the country,” he said.
Kamphangala has reminded the MCP that they are the ones who preached that multiparty is war in 1993 and today, they are preaching the same message to Malawians to bring war in Malawi blocking Mutharika from contesting in the elections.
He has expressed fears that some opposition party parliamentarians have been bought to support the age limit bill through a secret vote in Parliament advising Malawians to start identifying new MPs to take over from these failed MPs whose heads are bent on money not liberating the country.
The MCP diehard has finally appealed to journalists who will be covering the parliamentary age bill deliberations to record and report all MPs suspected to be behind supporting this useless age limit bill so that their constituents decide on what to do with them on 16th September, 2025.
