Three players, Chiukepo Msowoya, Miracle Gabeya (Mighty Mukuru Wanderers) and Gomezgani Chirwa of Nyasa Big have been nominated for the 2022 Airtel Top 8 Player of the Tournament award.
FAM’s Competitions and Communications Director Gomezgani Zakazaka says the competitions technical committee study group came up with the nomination list after analysing the competition’s statistics.
Selected group of coaches under National Coaches Association, who were responsible for selecting player of the match in ths competition, and other selected football journalists will vote for the award.
Msowoya, Lanjesi Nkhoma and Clement Nyondo finished as joint top goal scorers with two goals each.
The winner will be crowned in February at a special ceremony that Airtel will host.
Mighty Wanderers are the defending champions after defeating their Blantyre arch-rivals Nyasa Big Bullets on post match penalties in December last year at the Bingu National Stadium in Lilongwe.
