National Bank of Malawi has handed over a K10 million cheque to the Malawi Investment and Trade Center (MITC).
The funds are meant for the upcoming Exporters Awards slated for next month.
Speaking after receiving the cheque Chief Executive officer for MITC, Paul Kwengwele says it is a timely gesture as it will help spread awareness of export readiness among key stakeholders through the awards.

He added that this year, the institution will recognise and award outstanding exporters for their efforts in the generation of forex for the country.
Through the awards, producers of ‘Made in Malawi’ products will be recognised. Some of the categories of the awards include, Best Exporter of the Year, Best Female Exporter Award, Best SME Exporter Award and Best Youth Exporter Award.
