Mighty Wanderers President and Board Chairperson, Dr Thomson Frank Mpinganjira, on Thursday toured Wanderers Secretariat at Lali Lubani Road where among others, inspected the renovation of Wanderers Club House.
Speaking to Wanderers Media after the tour, Mpinganjira said he was impressed with the progress registered so far and believes the Club is on the right path to its commercialization drive.
Said Mpinganjira, “I took time to see for myself the progress being made. So far my impression is that the contractor has done amazing work. Alot of things have changed and I am extremely happy with what is happening here”.
The business mogul and philanthropist says the efforts the club is investing in are meant to restore the old glory at Wanderers.
“My vision is to see to it that our old glory is restored. Wanderers is the oldest and used to be a vibrant brand, it deserves to reclaim its old status,” added the Nomads’ boss.
Mpinganjira periodically visits Wanderers Secretariat to interact with staff and get updates on various programs.
During theThursday’s visit, he was flanked by Wanderers Board Secretary, Counsel Chancy Gondwe and Directors Dr Andre Kalinde, Chris Gondwe and Limbani Magomero.
Mighty Wanderers 2021 Limited embarked on a renovation project of its Club House early this year that has seen establishment of Wanderers Merchandise Shop, VIP Lounge and restaurant among others.
Phase 2 of the project will commence soon and involves renovation of the offices for secretariat, gym and a recreational center.
