UTM NEC Agrees On Convention

UTM NEC has resolved issues that other members of the party had regarding the convention.

UTM publicity secretary Felix Njawala disclosed this during a press briefing in Lilongwe adding that under the guidance of party president Michael Usi, the party has maintained the nomination fees which were being disputed by others as being exorbitant.

He said Usi also made a number of contributions on how best the convention should be managed and the committee has looked into the issues.

Njawala further mentioned that today’s NEC meeting has been one of the most fruitful meetings and has shown how united the UTM members are.

According to the publicity secretary, UTM NEC has also agreed that deadline for submission of nomination papers is November 11, 2024. The party will hold the convention on November 17, 2024 in Mzuzu.
