Scorchers captain Tabitha Chawinga has been nominated for 2024 Beyond Development Dubai Globe Soccer Best Women’s Player award.
Tabitha among 20 female nominees that includes Lauren James, Grace Geroyo, Mayra Ramirez and Lucy Bronze.
The Malawian is ranked 16 in the world. Meanwhile, Tabitha scored her sixth goal of the season as Olympique Lyonnais thumped Saint-Ettienie 11-0 in French Women’s League on Saturday.
She was subbed on in the second half and scored in the 79th minute of the match.
