Kondwani Nankhumwa, leader of the People’s Development Party (PDP), has expressed concerns over the difficulties faced during the voter registration process, citing potential disruptions to the 2025 elections.
Nankhumwa is speaking at media briefing in Lilongwe on Tuesday 18th 2024.
He emphasized that these challenges may lead to voter apathy and ultimately affect the outcome of the polls.
Nankhumwa’s concerns align with those of former President Dr. Joyce Banda, who warned that unresolved electoral issues could lead to future conflicts.
He also criticized President Lazarus Chakwera’s handling of the fuel crisis, stating that it reflects his disconnection from the people’s struggles.
Nankhumwa urged various stakeholders to work together to address these challenges and ensure a credible electoral process.
