THE MOTHER MALAWI UNDER ATTACK:
MCP HAS DECLARED WAR ON DEMOCRACY
WE ARE CALLING FOR 1 MILLION MARCH.
Malawi, wake up! it says even the smallest bird will cause the storm if it’s nest is threatened.
The once-glorious hope of our democracy is now gasping for air under the iron grip of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP).
What we are witnessing is not governance—it is the systematic dismantling of everything we fought for as a nation.
We have seen streets of Lilongwe full of pangas zikwanje and deadly knives we have seen them flooding our markets and carried brazenly in the open.
These are not tools of peace but symbols of terror.
We must not mince words. This is a declaration of war on democracy, a deliberate act to silence dissent and create fear in the hearts of ordinary Malawians.
But let me tell you this: fear is not our portion! Malawi belongs to us all, not a select few who rule with arrogance and impunity.
As iam writting this article the nation is on its knees the Mcp instead of finding solutions to our problems which we are facing as the country they are buying pangas to silence the people from crying my question is that are we citizens going to allow this to continue?
Look around you. What do you see?
No fuel. Our cars sit idle, our businesses grind to a halt.
No fertilizer. The backbone of our agriculture has been shattered.
A collapsing currency. Every kwacha feels like an insult as prices skyrocket beyond reach.
Stagnant lives. The once-promised prosperity is now a cruel joke.
And at the center of this chaos is one man: President Lazarus Chakwera. He came with promises of reform but has delivered nothing but suffering. Under his watch, the Malawi Congress Party has dragged this nation to the edge of collapse. How much longer can we endure?
WE MUST RISE: A CALL FOR THE 1 MILLION MARCH
To every Malawian who values freedom, justice, and dignity—this is your time. This is our time. We must not sit quietly while democracy is strangled before our very eyes. Let us gather in the streets of Lilongwe, millions strong, and march to Capital Hill.
This is not just a protest; it is a declaration that Malawi is not a playground for autocrats.
We demand the immediate resignation of President Chakwera. If he will not lead, let him step aside for those who can.
This march is our voice. This march is our power. This march is our future.
Fellow malawians,
Remember: the democracy we enjoy today was not given freely. It was earned through blood, sweat, and tears.
It was wrested from the clutches of the same MCP that now seeks to return us to the dark days of fear and oppression.
Our African proverb speaks When the drum of war is beaten, even the smallest village must hear it.”
Malawians, the time for apathy is over let’s defend our hard earned democracy.
TOGETHER, WE CAN SAVE MALAWI
Let us not surrender to fear or hopelessness. Let us march, united as one people, to remind everyone—leaders and citizens alike—that Malawi is a democracy, not a dictatorship. We are not pawns in their political games; we are the heartbeat of this nation.
This is our land. This is our democracy. This is our fight.
Stand tall, Malawi. The future belongs to the bold!
