Social commentator Isaiah Emmanuel Sunganimoyo, says he supports the Malawi Congress arty (MCP) because of the love he has for the party because at first he was thinking that the MCP belongs to all the Chewas in the Central Region of Malawi.
Sunganimoyo said after a long time in the party is when he realized that the MCP is a national party dismissing the earlier claim he had that the party was for the Chewas saying all this has made him to be supporting the party.
He said “if one knows the truth, the truth shall set him free” saying in 1990 when he was 12 years old at Madzimayera Primary School in Dedza district, he enrolled for Standard one coming from a poor family who did not afford to buy a party card for him to enter in class.
The commentator said one day MCP Youth Leaguers stormed the school demanding each and every learner to show his party card saying the development forced him and other learners running away in fear of being beaten or whipped.
Sunganimoyo said while he was running away, one of the Youth Leaguers throw a stone which landed him on the leg, he went to Abona Malawi Young Pioneer’s (MYP) Training base for treatment but the wound was not cured and it took the whole year battling and nursing it.
He said in 2023 he released a video clip informing the nation that he is having the keys to break the MCP into pieces saying the words did not go well with other senior members of the MCP who strategized themselves in secret planning either to kill or beat him up.
The commentator said on 18th July, 2024 the plans to kill or beat him up were hatched by a team of MCP members led by Gift Banda, a bodyguard to MCP Regional Chairman for the Centre, Mr. Zebron Chilondola saying by God’s grace he survived the attack.
He said after learning the activities of Msundwe Barracks terrorizing innocent protesters holding peaceful demonstrations in Lilongwe with pangas and other offensive weapons he failed to hold his mouth condemning them that one day, they shall be held accountable remembering his wound on the leg.
Sunganimoyo said for long he has been supporting the MCP and is doing the same to this date saying this cannot stop him from condemning his party for bad actions and when it does something good, he praises the party.
“We cannot build Malawi for all the people if the country itself, tribes, religions are divided by politics, I will work without fear or favour, I don’t fear anyone but I only respect, the truth shall set me free,” he said.
He has finally advised the youth and Msundwe Barracks that never and ever to be used by politicians to be terrorizing innocent people under the sponsorships of individuals with ill-motives as tomorrow they will be held accountable while their masters have fled the coun
