The Indigenous Customs Clearing and Freight Forwarding Association (Iccafa) has announced plans to hold its annual general conference in Mangochi, where the association will also commemorate 13 years of dedicated service in the customs clearing and freight forwarding industry.

Speaking in an interview, Iccafa General Secretary Yohane Kapalamula said the conference is slated for November 1 to 2 at Sunbird Nkopola Lodge and is expected to be a dynamic and transformative gathering.

“We are thrilled to celebrate our 13th anniversary and to bring together the brightest minds in the industry,” Kapalamula said, emphasizing that the event is more than just a meeting—it is a celebration of progress and a vision for the future.

According to Kapalamula, the 2024 conference will feature insightful discussions, extensive networking opportunities, and innovative presentations designed to address current industry challenges and explore emerging trends in the sector.

The event is expected to attract key stakeholders, including officials from the Malawi Revenue Authority, Ministry of Transport and Public Works, and the Ministry of Trade and Industry. Industry experts will also be on hand to share their experiences and provide guidance on best practices in customs operations.

Iccafa continues to play a pivotal role in shaping industry standards and promoting excellence among customs and freight forwarding professionals in Malawi and beyond.
