Politician Ken Ndanga says a good number of senior members of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) including past immediate cabinet ministers are privately sending congratulatory messages to President- Elect, Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika.
Ndanga says those who do not have Mutharika’s numbers are sending their congratulatory messages through those close to Professor Mutharika so that they convey the message to reach him of wishing him all the successes.
He says he feel sorry for those who are still riding on the MCP running mate Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba as they are busy holding protests in the Capital-Lilongwe to force Mec Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja to declare President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera the winner or for the country to hold Re-Run.
Writing on his face book page, Ndanga says those who are still claiming that President Chakwera has won the elections were expecting those that were sleeping at Fuel service stations and those who were eating chitedze as food for their survival to vote for the MCP.
Ndanga says the MCP was expecting people sleeping at Immigration offices for passports and tobacco growers that are crying for their tobacco bales stuck in satellite depots without going to the Auction Floors to vote for MCP.
He said people who worked so hard to help the MCP with their resources and support for the party to be in government in 2019 and June, 2020 have all been dumped and are being taken as useless, questioning the MCP on how they can expect to win the elections?
The politician has praised Mec Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja for displaying professionalism and integrity in discharging her duties, no one expected her to deliver being an MCP agent but she has proved to Malawians and the world that she is very conversant with the laws of Malawi.
“She is God sent, we shall continue praying for her, Long Live Multiparty democracy,” reads Ken Ndanga’s writings on the wall.
A Concerned Citizen of Malawi residing in Area 51 – Lilongwe Mrs. Elizabeth Kaliza Banda, has joined all those that are praising Justice Annabel Mtalimanja for ably handling election results advising her to continue not to be moved by MCP protests which have no impact to the country.
Kaliza said many Malawians that voted for the MCP on the 16th September, 2025 elections, have accepted defeat wondering why Engineer Vitumbiko Mumba and Dr. Jessie Kabwila are still protesting that President Chakwera won while in true sense in the eyes of all Malawians, Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika is the one who has won the election.
She has warned Mumba that beside of having cases to answer for printing fake passports, Railway line to Marka in Nsanje, NOCMA and other shady deals with President Chakwera, he will be charged of Treason for undermining the will of the voters.
“Malawians spoke through their vote rejecting President Chakwera and the MCP, Mumba, Dr. Jessie Kabwila and those saying President Chakwera won the elections, bring the evidence to Mec Chairperson other than making noise in Lilongwe,” said Kaliza.
