President-Elect Peter Mutharika Warns Against Corruption During Transition Period

Speaking on Friday at Kamuzu Stadium, the venue for the historic event, Mathanga confirmed that high-profile guests from Botswana, Zambia, Mozambique, Eswatini, and Tanzania will attend, along with Malawi’s former Heads of State. Government officials, including Secretary to the President and Cabinet, Colleen Zamba, were also at the stadium to oversee final preparations.

Professor Mutharika, who was elected in the September 16 presidential elections, will officially assume office immediately after taking the oath. The swearing-in and inauguration ceremony for President-elect Mutharika and Vice President-elect Justice Jane Ansah, SC, is scheduled for Saturday at Kamuzu Stadium.
