A Malawi Congress Party (MCP) supporter speaking through an audio clip, has claimed that she voted for Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika on the 16th September, 2025 elections because of anger following the party’s insults and castigations directed against Professor Mutharika.
She said her father who is 87 years of age in the area of Senior Chief Lukwa in Kasungu is being praised by his subjects for handling disputes in the interest of all and she didn’t find good reasons for her party- MCP attacking Professor Mutharika who is of the age of his father.
The woman said it pained her in her heart to see insults and castigations directed at Professor Mutharika saying as such, she made up her intelligent decision of not voting for President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera but settled for Professor Mutharika.
The MCP member in the audio clip, has accused former minister in the Chakwera’s led government Moses Kunkuyu of not accepting the results of the 16th September, 2025 elections describing him as not having a human face.
She said Kunkuyu speaking on Times Exclusive made it open that he is not accepting the results of the elections on the claims that the elections were rigged by the DPP questioning the whole MCP machinery where were they when DPP was rigging the elections.
The woman has warned the MCP that if the leaders are not accepting the results of the 16th September, 2025 elections, they should forget about the party’s bouncing back into government in 2030 observing that this could have been the best time to rebuild the party not crying as Kunkuyu is demonstrating.
She has asked the whole MCP machinery to honorably accept that the country is in the hands of President Professor Mutharika, President Chakwera is no more President of the Republic of Malawi but MCP as a party.
The woman has claimed that she was one of those who was advising MCP leaders to change to the better but they did not listen and today, they should not cry that DPP won the elections through rigging describing this as a blue lie to MCP members, MCP supporters and the entire population of Malawi.
She has advised Kunkuyu to learn to accept that Professor Mutharika won the elections with landslide victory 56.8 percent against 35 percent for President Chakwera assuring him that not all in the MCP are behind him crying for nonsense.
“MCP lost the elections because of greed, if you have nothing to speak in front of the cameras, you better not come for exclusive interview to shame yourself, President Chakwera and the whole MCP,” said the woman.
She has also praised Mec Chairperson Justice Annabel Mtalimanja for ably handling the 16th September, 2025 elections professionally taking MCP party politics out claiming that a lot was said about her, but in the ended, she declared candidate Professor Arthur Peter Mutharika the winner of the elections.
The woman has finally assured the MCP that she will be counter-attacking those who will be putting to shame the party for it to be a laughing stock of the world until such a time that MCP leaders learn to accept that President Professor Mutharika is the current President of the Republic of Malawi.
