LILONGWE, MALAWI – Airtel Malawi Plc has strengthened its commitment to digital transformation and customer service excellence with the opening of a new state-of-the-art Airtel shop in Area 12, Lilongwe.

The new outlet is Airtel Malawi’s second major shop launch in 2026 following the successful opening of its Hope Square Complex branch in Mzuzu in May. The telecommunications company is also undertaking an ambitious nationwide modernization programme that will see 42 existing Airtel shops upgraded to improve customer experience.
Speaking during the official launch ceremony, Airtel Malawi Managing Director Aashish Dutt said the investment demonstrates the company’s dedication to providing accessible, innovative, and customer-focused digital solutions across the country.
“Our goal is to make digital services simpler, faster and more accessible for every Malawian. This new Airtel shop reflects our continued investment in technology, connectivity and customer satisfaction,” said Dutt.

Lilongwe Deputy Mayor Triza Silo commended Airtel Malawi for contributing to the city’s digital development agenda.
