Karonga celebrate after the game
It was an affair that saw Bullets control possession for the better part of the game while the hosts defended gallantly.

In the 40th minute, Bullets had a clear chance but Chimwemwe Idana shot wide in the box.

The visitors continued to pressurise as the match approached half time, but Karonga goalkeeper Yona Milanzie denied Bullets attacking machinery several scoring opportunities with his superb saves.

In the second half, Karonga were a rejuvenated side. They were strong in defence and midfield, forcing Bullets midfielders to chase their own shadows.

Bullets introduced Hassan Kajoke and John Lanjesi for Lanjesi Nkhoma and Patrick Mwaungulu, but this did not yield anything.

In a post-match interview, Bullets coach Kallisto Pasuwa said they did not do much to collect maximum points.

“Of course, Karonga showed a fighting spirit, but we still have homework because we failed to utilise scoring chances that would make us collect needed maximum points,” he said.

On the other hand, Karonga United interim coach Christopher Nyambose said their time to lose at home is over.

“Bullets came flat out to defeat us, but we were resistant and managed to force a draw. This is the beginning of good things and we are set to get positive results in our remaining games,” he said.

Karonga have moved to 14th from 15th last weekend. They have four points earned from draws out of seven games played.
