The Super League of Malawi (SULOM) Disciplinary Committee has fined FCB Nyasa Big Bullets a total of K3.35 million for misconduct during their FDH Bank Premiership match against Ekhaya FC at Mpira Stadium on 19 July 2026.
The disciplinary action follows incidents of disorderliness associated with the Bullets camp during the fixture, prompting the league’s disciplinary authorities to take action.
In addition to the financial penalty, SULOM has issued a stern warning to the reigning giants that they risk losing maximum points in future matches should they be found guilty of similar acts of disorderliness.
The warning adds significant pressure on the club to ensure that its players, officials and supporters adhere to league regulations and maintain discipline during matches.
SULOM says the decision is part of its continued efforts to uphold discipline, integrity and law and order within the FDH Bank Premiership.
The league governing body has also urged clubs to take greater responsibility for the conduct of their supporters and players by sensitising them on the importance of maintaining peace and order at football matches.
“Clubs are urged to sensitise their supporters, players and fans on the importance of preserving law and order,” SULOM said in a statement.
The hefty fine and warning come as a reminder to all teams competing in Malawi’s top-flight league that misconduct can result in serious disciplinary consequences.
For Nyasa Big Bullets, the challenge will now be to ensure that similar incidents do not occur again, as any repeat offence could carry an even more damaging sporting consequence, including the loss of maximum points.
