World Vision Malawi has donated medical supplies worth K4.5 million to Dedza District Hospital.
Speaking when presenting the donation, World Vision Dedza -Salima District Manager, Chikumbutso Kamwendo, said as a child-focused organisation, they decided to support efforts of improving health services.
“We realised that government cannot manage to achieve the provision of better health service delivery on its own, hence our support,” said Kamwendo.
Dedza District Hospital Public Relations Officer, Mwayi Liabunya, hailed World Vision Malawi for the support as the hospital is facing a shortage of medical supplies.
“As a district, we have gaps in terms of medical supplies and equipment since our catchment area expands beyond Malawi borders to Mozambique,” said Liabunya.
The donation includes medical gowns, disposable infusion sets, bulk syringes, black Trashline and KN95 respirators.
