Eagle Strikers FC convincingly defeated Songwe Border United FC by 3 goals to nil.

The Eagles dominated the game from the first whistle and found the back of the net in the 27th minute through Samani Nyirenda, following poor coordination in the Songwe Border United defense.

Songwe Border United attempted to equalize, but another defensive error allowed Chikondi Nyirenda to score in the 38th minute after a failed clearance by their defender.

In the 75th minute of the second half, Chikondi Nyirenda secured his brace, making it 3-0.

The game ended 3-0 in favor of Eagle Strikers FC, who now lead the table with 4 points, having won one game and drawn one in the final phase of the league.

Songwe Border United FC, with 3 points from two games, currently sit in 4th place in the standings.

Commenting on the teams good run of form Inspector Paul Tembo briefly attributed: “The Northern Region Police Headquarters is doing everything possible to strengthen the team”.
