Concerned Citizens of Zililongwe village in the area of Traditional Authority Champiti in Ntcheu are demanding the High Court of Malawi move Norman Chisale’s case which has now entered defence to be tried in Ntcheu for the truth to prevail.
The people are suspecting that the judge hearing the case is basing on evidence on paper but in Ntcheu, the whole village of Zililongwe can testify more about Norman Paulosi Chisale that he was born, grew up and secured employment with the MDF in 1996 from their village.
They say they are not sure that one of them Pinthius Hiwa who is Norman Chisale’s cousin can testify in court for his cousin to be arrested and imprisoned for possessing a fake JCE Certificate suspecting that politics is taking centre stage in Chisale’s case.
Speaking on a strict condition of anonymity, a family source said Pinthius Hiwa was a student of Nsipe Distance Education Centre and so too, Norman Chisale studied there wondering why the Police have not gone to Nsipe to investigate Chisale’s fake certificate?
The source said Norman Chisale enrolled himself for primary school education at Nthumbi Primary School from where he went to Nsipe Distance Education Centre crossing Nsipe River when it was during the dry season and when it rains, he used to walk a long distance to school via Kampepuza main road about 5 Kilometer from his village.
She said if it is true that Norman Chisale was using someone’s certificate in the name of Pinthius Hiwa why the payroll from the Malawi Defense Force (MDF) is reading Norman Paulosi Chisale not Pinthius Hiwa?
The woman has made it clear that all the people of Zililongwe village are angry with the case linking Norman Chisale to have used Pinthius Hiwa’s Junior Certificate of Educations (JCE) to secure employment with the Malawi Defense Force in 1996.
“We are demanding Pinthius Hiwa to prove to all family members that he testified in Lilongwe that Norman Chisale used his certificate and MDF Human Resources Management Officers to prove to us that on their payroll, there was Pinthius Hiwa not Norman Chisale,” said the source.
She said Dr. Albert Mbawala who at one time was President Dr. Lazarus Chakwera’s cabinet Minister in the MCP government is also one of the family members of Norman Chisale wondering if he was contacted to testify in court and if not, he has to testify for justice to prevail in Norman Chisale’s case
.
The source has claimed that Norman Chisale was born with the spirit of sharing a little of what he has with others, claiming that he has been providing relief maize to the people of his village and surrounding villages during hunger crisis and buying blankets to the aged saying he started doing this for over 8 years now.
The source has warned the MCP government that people of Ntcheu are all aware that the whole motive behind piling up charges against Chisale is to jail him and once they do that, the anger and pain of the people of Ntcheu after losing Dr. Saulosi Chilima in a tragic circumstance will descend on the MCP.
She has finally sent a message of goodwill to Wongani Ng’oma (Ntcheu Central Constituency) and Dr. Albert Mbawala (Ntcheu Central Central East) not to waste their resources claiming that people in the district are not ready to vote for Independent candidates hiding in the name of Malawi Congress Party.
