Bakili Muluzi TV online television station, has called on the Democratic Progressive Party (DPP) led government to take down 14th May as Kamuzu Day claiming that no one knows the official birthday of Kamuzu Banda.

Bakili Muluzi TV said in primary schools, learners are learning that Kamuzu Banda was born in 2006, 2007and 2008 while in secondary schools, students are learning that Kamuzu was born between 1898 to 1900 speaking for itself that even Mama Cecilia Tamanda Kadzamira knew nothing of the exact date when Kamuzu was born.

He said on 14th May, 1891 Sir Harry Johnstone declared Nyasaland a British protectorate claiming that most of its land were taken by the British.
The Activist said 14th May is being taken as the official birthday of Queen Elizabeth 11 of Great Britain and in 1967 the official birthday of the Queen was taken as Kamuzu Day but in true sense Kamuzu Banda was not born on 14th May.

He said Kamuzu Banda beside being a dictator, he was a great historian and orator advising government to find another day of remembering Kamuzu and not taking the official birthday of the Queen 14th May, as Kamuzu Day.
Bakili Muluzi TV said by urging government to find another day of remembering Kamuzu Banda, this does not mean that Kamuzu was 100 percent good, the man was evil who made many Jehovah’s Witnesses to flee the country to Zambia and Zimbabwe and many died in exile.

He said those who rejected paying taxes were being taken as enemies of Kamuzu Banda, they were being arrested, detained without trial and others were killed by throwing them into the Shire River as crocodile meat.
The Activist has claimed that over 20,000 people were killed by Kamuzu Banda including Yatuta Chisiza in 1967 whose body nobody knows where it went to this day with many suspected it to have been thrown into the river tied with big stones to prevent the body from floating.
” Nyasaland was a big country, Chipata was in Malawi, Mbeya was in Malawi, and Milanje was in Malawi, most of Nyasaland land was taken by the Portuguese,” said Bakili Muluzi TV.
Recently, a member of the Malawi Congress Party (MCP) Professor John Chisi was quoted in the media having said that there’s no justification for 14th May, Kamuzu Banda Day, recognizing a man who committed wickedness and atrocities against humanity in Malawi citing murder of innocent citizens, adulterous life, confiscation of private property all to be under his name and control.
