In a statement signed by minister of health – Khumbize Kandodo Chiponda, government has expressed concern that some patients who are showing signs of cholera are not seeking medical attention because of religious beliefs, a situation which has caused avoidable loss of lives.
Meanwhile, authorities are calling for concerted efforts in the fights against the outbreak of cholera.

As of yesterday, the country had over 16 thousand recorded cases with deaths stranding at 557.
